先日【Dave Yamayaの】でお伝えした鴨川123セッション。
その数時間後には太陽が顔を見せ始め、
さらに暖かい陽気のなかでの
素晴らしい鴨川日和なコンディションに恵まれた。
今回はショートボーダー、ロングボーダー、
そしてボディーボーダーという使う道具は違えど、
波に乗ることを愛するサーファーたちが共存する鴨川での
THE SUNNYセッションの模様をお届け！！

Kamogawa 123: The Sunny Session
After excellent conditions in the early morning, the sun decided to come out and make the day even better.
早朝のエクセレント・コンディションの後は、
太陽が顔をのぞかせ、最高に気持ちいい一日となった。

シーサイドの形の良いレギュラーの波を
ショートボードで切り刻んでいたのはプロロングボーダー佐藤広。
どんなボードでもコンディションに合わせて乗りこなすことが、
コンペティターとしてもサーファーとしても大成するうえでの鍵を握る。

Finishing up his morning session, Katsuya Matsumoto waited for a rare left and came off the bottom with style.
朝一のセッションを終えた松本克也は、
数少ないグーフィーの波に狙いを定め、
ボトムターンにおいてもそのスタイルを魅せる。

朝のセッションで最後に掴んだ波。
スムースかつスタイリッシュにボトムからのトップ・カーヴィングを披露していた。

As the tide dropped, the lefts started to turn on. Local bodyboarders, Momoko Sonoda, Rika Shibata, and Toru Yamada all took advantage of the improving conditions.
潮が引くにつれてグーフィーの波数が増えはじめると、
園田桃子と柴田梨加、山田亨といったプロボディーボーダー3名が登場。

A solid day of excellent conditions in Kamogawa. Knowing where to be when the tide turns can be rewarded with perfect surf. You just have to know when and where.
エクセレント・コンディションに恵まれたこの日の鴨川。
潮回りと地形を踏まえたうえで、
いつどこに良い波が来るのかさえ知っていれば、
パーフェクトな一日なったに違いない。
